Before installation

Know which site does what.

The plugin runs on your own WordPress site. Your Captyre account, subscription tier and credentials are managed on Captyre.com.

Terminology

  • HUB SITE: Captyre.com
  • CLIENT WP Site: your own WordPress site
  • The HUB manages subscription and token data
  • The CLIENT WP Site submits slider render jobs
  • The CLIENT WP Site stores plugin settings and notification preferences

Installation steps

Install and connect the plugin

Follow these steps on the CLIENT WP Site and Captyre HUB.

Download and unzip the plugin

Download the plugin ZIP. For now this button points to a self-hosted ZIP. Later this page can also link to the official WordPress plugin directory page.

Activate the plugin

On your CLIENT WP Site, install and activate the Captyre plugin from the WordPress Plugins screen.

Sign up on Captyre.com

Go to Captyre.com/pricing and sign up for a Captyre tier. This is done on the HUB SITE.

Copy your client ID and secret

After signing up, open https://captyre.com/membership-account/membership-token-page/ and copy your client ID and client secret.

Paste credentials into your CLIENT WP Site

On your own WordPress site, open /wp-admin/admin.php?page=captyre_site_settings_page and paste the client ID and secret into the Captyre plugin settings page.

Set notification preferences

On the same settings page, choose whether your site should receive notifications from Captyre job processing.

Pricing

Choose or manage the Captyre tier on the HUB SITE.

Token page

Copy the client ID and secret after signup.
